7 Minutes in Heaven‘s got big things going on. If you haven’t heard, the Chicago based band just announced that they have officially signed to Rude Records. From us here at MOS, congrats boys, that’s huge!! Rude Records was founded in 1999 and is based in Europe, but the label is distributed worldwide, and currently houses big names like The Maine, Set It Off, and Knuckle Puck. 7MIH are definitely in good company here.
The band says on the news:
“Being such an active DIY band, signing to a label has never been our end goal but once we met Rude, we knew this was the right move! It’s all new territory for us and we’re happy to be joining a family that shares the same purpose and passion that we do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that’s been a part of this journey, we’re excited to begin a new chapter with you. Expect new music this year, we think you might like it.”
2016 was a huge year for 7MIH, playing the Vans Warped Tour and So What?! Music Festival, and playing with bands like Assuming We Survive and Broadside. Their last release, Side Effects (2015), brought them huge success, even placing them at #1 on Billboard’s Alternative New Artists chart. The guys plan on keeping the momentum going with new music due out this year. I can tell you one thing for sure, you can expect to hear a lot about these guys in 2017!
