Simple Plan announce No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls Anniversary Tour

If you happen to be living under a rock and you missed the news on Monday, Simple Plan are going on tour again! But this is not just any tour, oh no. The band’s very first album, No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls is turing 15 this March (FIFTEEN!!!!) and the guys definitely plan on celebrating the right way. They took to twitter and instagram Monday morning to announce they’ll be heading out on a very special NPNHJB 15 year anniversary tour! How sick is that?! The guys will be joined by special guests Set It Off and Seaway and will be hitting 19 cities around the US. The coolest part is that it kicks off on the actual birthday of the album (March 19), what a way to celebrate! If you’re a hardcore original SP fan, you are NOT going to want to miss this tour. The guys will be playing NPNHJB in it’s entirety, in addition to all your other fave SP songs, of course. Think about it, when’s the last time you heard When I’m With You or One Day live? Can’t remember? Exactly my point. Come out to one of these shows and relive your childhood for a very special once in a lifetime SP show.

With the announcement, I’ve found myself feeling a wee bit nostalgic the last few days. I for one cannot wrap my mind around the fact that it’s been 15 years since they first stepped out onto the scene with this album, and honestly the fact that they have legitimately been my favourite band for just about the same amount of years. Damn. I remember when I first got this album, I was 10 years old. I used to sit in my room for HOURS listening to this album on repeat, it was definitely one of the albums that shaped my childhood/early teenage years. This album is home to so many of SP’s staple songs, including I’m Just a Kid, Addicted, and I’d Do Anything. I cannot wait to go back in time for a night and remember everything that made me fall in love with this band 14 years ago. I will be at the Milwaukee show on April 5th, I hope to see you there!
