Little Mix Premiere Video For “Shout Out To My Ex”

gallery-1476105076-little-mix-press-shot-2016We over here at MOS are massive Little Mix fans, so we are insanely stoked about this one. It’s been just about a year since the girls released their last album, Get Weird, and with the release of their brand new album, Glory Days, approaching fast, the girls have just dropped the first single off the album. The song is called Shout Out To My Ex and it. Is. INCREDIBLE. Not that I expected anything less from Little Mix. It’s speculated to be all about band member Perrie Edwards’ past relationship with ex 1D member, Zayn Malik, and let me tell you, it is so full of sass. Not only is it a clever way to diss that nasty ex, but this song is also extremely empowering for girls and so full of self love, something Little Mix has always been great at. One of my favourite lyrics from the track is “here’s to my ex, hey look at me now, I’m all the way up, I swear you’ll never bring me down”. It’s such a positive tune that reminds girls that they are so much more than their current and/or ex partners. I literally cannot get enough of this song, I have had it on repeat for DAYS.

Yesterday, the girls also dropped the brand new music video for the track, which I am also loving. It features the girls hanging out poolside and driving around in a cute convertible in the desert. It’s a simple concept, but it is somehow everything this song needed and more. Watching this video, I realized how much these four girls have grown and evolved since the beginning of their career and it makes me so happy to see them thrive. One thing is for sure, they definitely have another smash hit on their hands with this one. Check out the video below:
