MOS Show Review and Gallery: I Prevail

IMG_0362I Prevail released the 8-track “Heart vs. Mind” EP in late 2014 around the same time they posted their hugely successful cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.” The cover was infectious (some would say…*ahem me*…that it was better than the original song). With close to 25,000,000 views on YouTube, the cover was the secret weapon that got the band’s name out there, and the Heart vs. Mind EP solidified people’s interest. The EP has a unique and defined sound. Each song is different, but still sounds like part of a well put-together collection. Fans have been waiting for a full-length since the EP came out, and now that I Prevail are signed to Fearless Records they’ll finally get what they’ve been waiting for.

“Lifelines” is the title of I Prevail’s soon-to-be-released first full-length! The band released a single from the album called “Scars,” and have been performing a few more of the tracks on their current tour. Speaking of the current tour, it’s I Prevail’s first headlining tour, and it’s called the Strike The Match Tour. The band chose to hit the road a couple months before their new album comes out to promote its release, and they brought along Bad Seed Rising, My Enemies and I, and The White Noise for support. We got to go to one of the first dates of the tour in Cincinnati, Ohio last week and it was a complete blast. The guys seem excited to be on the road and really enthusiastic about their new album. They got the crowd into it too, and the energy in the room was really positive and fun. You can check out some photos from the show as well as upcoming tour dates below!

“Lifelines” will be released on October 21st through Fearless Records, and you can preorder it here.
